About This Spot

Stepping into Sezam is like entering a modest, welcoming nook tucked away on Queens Boulevard, where the hum of the neighborhood blends with the enticing aromas of spice and grill. The pace here is unhurried—an honest pause from the city’s usual rush, where locals and newcomers alike settle in for a comforting, soulful meal that feels both familiar and subtly adventurous.

The atmosphere is quietly warm, shaped by friendly exchanges between attentive staff and guests discovering something real and satisfying. It’s a place where the scents of freshly grilled kebabs and golden, crispy chebureki invite you to savor each bite slowly, curling into the kind of meal that lingers beyond the plate. There’s an understated joy in sharing dishes built from generations-old traditions, where a fresh salad or a steaming bowl of rich soup accompanies the star of the menu without overshadowing it.

Sezam’s charm lies in its thoughtful balance—where rustic simplicity meets layers of flavor, and generous portions respect your hunger without overwhelming. Whether you’re drawn in by the allure of juicy, well-seasoned meats or the surprise of tender dumplings and flaky pastries, every choice feels like an invitation to explore the familiar made new. The friendly energy here is quietly infectious, making each visit feel like a small, shared discovery within the city’s diverse tapestry.

For those craving a moment of real comfort and genuine care in their meal, Sezam quietly offers just that: a neighborhood spot where warmth comes not just from the grill, but from the human connections that unfold around the table.

It was perfect in every way possible. We ordered a lot of food for just 2 of us but every food was on point! Kebabs were all great & pilaf was just delicious! Price was so good for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

The food was incredible—we devoured the baba ganoush before we even thought of taking a picture. The staff was friendly, and the meat was tender. We'll definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was truly outstanding, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious. The kebabs were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection — some of the best I’ve ever had. The chebureki were also incredible: crispy on the outside and filled juicy meat. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is my first time ordering food here. I ordered Lulya Kabab, Cheburek with meat, and green pilaf. They packed the food well in aluminum foil, ensuring it stayed hot until I got home. The lulya kaba was juicy and well seasoned, and the cheburek was a delightful surprise. I didn't know, so I cut it in half and, therefore, lost some of the juices, but it didn't take away from the wonderful, delicate taste, while the burek maintained its crispiness. Finally, the green pilaf is rich in dill and other herbs, which give it a green color (hence the name) and a rich flavor. It is also rich in meat, as expected, and beyond. Service was friendly and efficient. They promised 10 minutes for pick up and so it was. I will definitely order or dine in again.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and was blown away by both the food and the service. Every dish we ordered was delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen really takes pride in their work. But what made the night truly special was our server, Artur. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and professional throughout the entire evening. Artur made excellent recommendations, checked in on us at the right times, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. His warm attitude and attention to detail really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend this place – and if you go, definitely ask for Artur. He’s a gem!
